Is it normal to get up immediately after sex to clean up?

I was just wondering if it is normal to clean up right after sex. I see in movies and stuff that people lay in bed after sex just holding each other. My wife insists on running to the bathroom to clean up. Any ideas?

It's perfectly normal, maybe she doesn't want to be filthy and wants to get clean because I would hate being sweaty wet etc.. after sex.
